The communities we serve are on the front lines of climate change, with the elderly, single parents, people with disabilities, and youth bearing the brunt of its impact. For these resilient individuals, leaving their villages when droughts or floods strike isn't an option—this is their home. Migration isn't feasible, and traditional employment opportunities are scarce. For generations, they have relied on subsistence farming to sustain their families. Now, as climate change threatens their way of life, we have a crucial opportunity to stand in the gap with them, helping to create solutions that empower and sustain these vulnerable groups. Together, we can ensure they not only survive but thrive in the face of adversity.

G.A.P.'s mission is to bring hope and restore dignity to vulnerable members of society living in extreme poverty in rural villages and informal settlements that are further marginalized by climate Change.

We dream of a future where all people can meet their basic needs—a future of resilience and sustainability for communities hardest hit by food scarcity and diseases caused by Climate Change.

  • Kambiti Village, Wamunyu, Machakos, Kenya.

Our primary focus in this village has been serving the elderly, through the distribution of food, provision of medical care, and essential development efforts.

  • Athi - River, Kenya.

In the wake of devastating floods that left many families displaced and further marginalized in the informal settlements of City Carton and Jam City in Athi-River, we rallied alongside these communities. Thanks to robust partnerships and collaborative efforts, we've since launched thriving youth and empowerment programs designed to mentor and uplift both the young people and their families in these areas.
